Pictures From Today's training Camp.

So here are the pictures as promised.

This is just as I'm leaving the northern city limits into the country side heading north, which is only around the corner from my house.
In this picture, notice how far across the road the truck passes around me, this is common around these parts, specially when a biker is carrying a camera taking shots of the road ahead as he rides. sssssss

Just up ahead is a big dip in the road, the trick is to take as much speed with you down to carry you half way up the next hill until you have to gear down and strain to get up the other side.

Up ahead is one of the many short steep hills on my route.

getting closer, time to gear down to the small ring.

look one hand climbing as I take a low shot up the hill

Even a lower shot half way up the hill still peddling with one hand.

Me looking back, I tried to get a shot back showing the steepness of the hill, but by the time I took the shot, I was shot myself and missed a bit of the angle. Man it's tough going up hill one handed....Oops! did I forget my helmet again??? probably why the dude in the truck in the other picture went so far around me? that, and the camera in hand? lol.

This shot I'm coming up to Springwater park on the horizon.

Now I'm in the park zoo. these geese where really honking up storm, something about spring? and goosing around? hee hee.
Red hawk, very cool.
The bear was sleeping in his den, and I called him out, and he came out!! cool! then he came over to me, and I was thinking what can I give him to eat? fortunately I had some Oreo cookies in my snack bag, so I gave him one. he quickly ate it too!

Timber wolf, very skiddish and stayed at the back of the cage until I started to move away, then they ( there were 2 of them) move forward to see where I was going.

Great horned Owl, what a hoot!
Sorry I didn't get more shots, as I said the battery died while I was in the park. I sill had a few longer steep hill climbs I wanted to show. Maybe next time?
Later in the day after my sun tanning session, me running, Joanne was riding the bike with me taking the shots.

Still allot of snow along the side walks in sections that aren't exposed to the sun.

That's it for today, tomorrow will be Day Two of my Camp.
