What the heck did I eat??

After taking a two week recovery after IMLP to let the swelling go down on my feet, ankles and legs down, and letting two more weeks slide by with only a couple of short bikes rides and two 1000m swims in the lake, my training for Muskoka 70.3 has come to a quick halt! One month out from Muskoka 70.3 and I come down with some stomach thing, puking my guts out all last night. This morning my gut was feeling tender and sore. I wonder what I ate that made me heave?

After work last night I went out on a hard tt of only 10 miles, after I made my dinner of pasta, veal and fresh corn on the cob. I later went out to my hot tub for a soke and stretch, and to watch some of the Olympics while sipping on some beer. After an hour in the tub relaxing I came in and changed, grabbed another beer and continued watching the Olympics on tv. Then it happened!!

My gut started to get sick and started bloating. I took some antacids and drank water, but I started to get sicker. I went up to bed to lay down while watching some more Olympics, but my stomach was churning and bloating more. I sipped more water until it happened! I had the urge to puke!

I quickly got up out of bed and just made it to the toilet and heaved, and heaved, and heaved, the sweat was poring off my forehead and my body was shaking, finally I heaved all I could heave and I was done. I cleaned myself up gargled and brushed my teeth then sipped on more water and went back to bed. I felt better after I puked but my stomach still had a pain in it. I fell fast asleep. When i got up this morning my gut was tender and still churning, got some coffee and went to work. I guess I'll have to ride this out and maybe get back to some decent training in a few days. What the heck did I eat???
