I'm in for Ironman Florida 70.3

I'm in for Ironman Florida 70.3  Wooo! Hoooo!

I registered this morning.  Now I have something to motivate me over the winter to train.  But most of my winter will be base work and keeping my fitness up. And cross training with my diving. 

I think I'll have to eat the cost of getting a single rec pass so I can go to the rec center to swim and dive and use the fitness room for treadmill work and weights. I can't afford it, but it's got to be done.

Another thing I need to do is get passports for all of us to travel to the States. We used to be able to cross the border with just birth certificates and drivers license, but they changed the rules now and Canadians now need a passport to cross the border to the states. 

Oh and I ran today. i did another slow 5km in 30:07  Feet were fine, my knee was hurting/ pinching.

The weather has gotten cold fast. The day time temps are in the teens now, and it has been raining off and on the last three days including today, so i haven't ridden and when I was ready to run it was raining so I didn't run. I don't like training in cold or in wet, I specially don't when it's both cold and wet! At least I'm getting a little recovery time for my knee. It still hurts and even pinches at times when I walk, but I keep putting off seeing the doctor hoping it will get better. Anyway I'll try to run tomorrow.

I'm thinking I want to enter Ironman 70.3 Florida Disney race for May. The registration rates goes up after tomorrow the 30Th, but it's to soon to know if I can afford to go to Florida, but if I register before tomorrow night I can save $50 and with the race 8 months away I should be able to save up enough to go? depending on if my wife finds a job or not!? Plus I want to go down with my kids again as it was fun last time when I went in 2008. What to do? What to do?

31:20

31:20.....Another slow run today. My legs felt lethargic and my time shows they were. I guess my legs were tired from yesterdays bike ride, we did have a lot of hills on our bike yesterday. ;)

After my run, I spent the afternoon cooking up a storm!! ..Yes!! Can you Smelllllll, What the Josef is cooking!! ...... I cooked up fifteen chicken breasts and about 40 Pork Schnitzels that I bag and freeze for dinners thoughout the week when I don't have time to cook.

Honey Garlic chicken breasts, and Pork schnitzel. Mmmmmmmm
