Happy Birthday Victoria

My baby turns 18 today, gak! she was just a baby a few years ago? where did the time go? Not only is it her birthday, it's also her Prom day..... Yes it's a big day for her.

Joanne took the day off work today to be at Victoria's beck and call to get ready for prom night. Victoria has appointments to get her hair, nails, and whatever done? to get ready for tonight. The plan for her is she will be picked up in some rental limo with her girlfriends and drive out to the local arboretum ( sunnydale park ) for some pictures, then driven to the prom for the dinner and dance. After the prom she's going to one of her girlfriends house to party or whatever? [wink, wink]

Later today Joanne and I plan on giving Victoria her birthday gift/ graduation present if it gets here? Since she is not attending graduation night next month we decided to make this gift a all in one gift for her birthday today, as well as a graduation gift that will wear well tonight being her prom night.

We had something special made for her to give her for graduation. The gift had to be custom made to order, because when we were shopping for her birthday gift / Graduation present the store didn't have any in stock, and we needed it by her birthday for her prom, this was over a month ago. I called a few weeks back and they still hadn't received it in. Yesterday I got a call from the store that it came in, ( that's cutting it close!) ...But! they had good and bad news for me! the good news, our item was in. the bad news they made the wrong one?! It was the right one, but the wrong size? it was the bigger more expensive one which we couldn't afford but liked. Well they offered to send it to us at no extra charge. ( SWEET! ) so it will be shipped up to us by Currier today just in time for us to give it to her before she leaves for her prom.....So what is it?...when it arrives I'll let you know, after we give it to Victoria.

I have three more days of rehab before my marathon on Sunday. Wooooo! Bring it!!

It's Tuesday and I've got five day's until the Ottawa marathon. I got an e-mail saying we meet up for the bus a 6 am Saturday at the waterfront, man that's early! I don't get home until 12:30am from work Friday night.

I spent the whole long weekend with my foot in my boot to rest it up, as well as stretching and icing and massaging. My foot is feeling better, until I walk on it for any length of time, then my heel starts hurting again. Come race day Sunday, I'll decide whether to try the race, not start, or just walk the marathon coming in under the cut off time just so i get my souvenir finishers medal.

The hell with it! I'll run as long as I can from the start, suck it up and walk off the pain and run some more to the finish! I'm not a quitter. and I'm not going to show a DNS, or a DNF!! so there! :p

My prediction of my run?...start out the first 10k split with 1hr, second 10k split 1hr, third 10k split 1.5hr last 12k 2hrs for a total of 5:30 finish. .....6:30 if I have to walk more because of heel pain.
